How We're Helping
Serving Our Communities
At ROCIA, we believe that the Orthodox Christian Faith must be lived as well as proclaimed. Through prayer, worship, charity, and personal service, we seek to bring the love of Christ to those around us and to make our communities stronger, more compassionate, and more faithful.
Our ministry extends beyond the walls of the church. We seek to serve the spiritual and practical needs of our neighbors through outreach, pastoral care, and works of mercy. Our efforts include Native American outreach among the peoples of the Southwest, including the Hopi, Navajo, Laguna, and Acoma communities. We also support prison ministry, visitation of the sick, assistance to those struggling with addiction, food and fuel distribution, and outreach to the homeless and vulnerable.
Inspired by the example of the saints and the commandment to love our neighbor, ROCIA strives to be a source of hope, healing, and Christian fellowship. We welcome all who seek spiritual guidance, prayer, friendship, and support, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Our mission is not only to preserve the Orthodox Faith, but to live it through acts of compassion, hospitality, and service to all people in the name of Jesus Christ.
